Living Next Door to Alice (Smokie) — аккорды на гитаре

A Sally called when she got the word

D And she said “I E suppose A you´ve heard, ´bout Alice”

A Well I rush to the window, and I looked outside

D But I could hardly believe my eyes

E As a big limousine A rode up outo Alice´s drive

A Oh, I don´t know why she´s leaving, or where she´s gonna go

D I guess she´s got her reasons but I just don´t wanna know

´Cos E for 24 years I´ve A been living next door to Alice

A 24 years just waiting for a chance

D To tell her how I feel and maybe get a second glance

Now E I gotta D get used E to not A living next door to Alice

A We grew up together, two kids in the park

D Carved out initials E deep in A the bark, me an´ Alice

A Now she walks through the door, with her head held high

D Just for a moment I caught her eye

E As the big limousine A pulled slowly out of Alice´s drive

A Oh, I don´t know why she´s leaving, or where she´s gonna go …

D Then Sally called back, and asked how I felt

And E she said: “I know A how to help, to get over Alice”

A She said, “Now Alice is gone, but I´m still here

D You know, I´ve been waiting 24 years …”

And E the big D E limousine A disappeared

A I don´t know why she´s leaving, or where she´s gonna go

D I guess she´s got her reasons but I just don´t wanna know

´Cos E for 24 years I´ve A been living next door to Alice

A 24 years just waiting for a chance

D To tell her how I feel and maybe get a second glance

But E I´ll D never E get used A to not living next door to Alice

No, E I´ll D never E get used A to not living next door to Alice
